 Q. How do I find volunteers for my organization?
A. Simply visit our add an opportunity page in our organizations section and choose enter your organization's volunteering opportunity information. Anybody with a legitimate volunteering opportunity may enter a listing. Required fields have a red asterik next to it. Add an Opportunity Now
Q. How do I update my volunteering opportunity listing?
A. Simply submit your new listing at our add an opportunity page and the old listing will be deleted. Deletion of old listings occurs once per day at midnight Pacific Time (US & Canada, -08:00 GMT). If you wish to view your current listing, you may always search for it using the "Organization Name" search field on our search page
Q. Can I enter HTML into the "Volunteering Opportunity Description" when adding a volunteering opportunity listing?
A. You may wish to enter HTML into your volunteering opportunity description to highlight certain parts of your description. Common tags are:
- To make text bold: <b> Enter your Text </b>
- To make text italicized: <i> Enter your Text </i>
- To skip a line: <br /> , you may enter multiples breaks to increase white space between paragraphs. Usually two will be sufficient.
Q. When will my volunteering opportunity listing expire and be deleted?
A. As of right now, we do not automatically delete volunteering opportunities. If you want your organization's volunteering opportunity listing deleted, please email: dental@dentalvolunteer.com
Q. Do I need to login to use your web site?
A. As of right now, we don't have logins to use our search engine or even for organizations to list opportunities. Let's face it: people already have too many logins to remember and one more would be a hassle. We wanted to make this system quick and easy, so that volunteers can get on their way without the hassles of remembering their login information. We have developed a safe and secure system that prevents tampering of opportunity listing data as we have people constantly checking the integrity of our databases.
Q. We are a for-profit hospital or dental organization. Can we still list on your site?
A. Yes! However, our policy is that the volunteer must be providing services that are of at least some direct benefit to people/patients in need or the entity in need. Use your own judgment. If you are unsure about whether your listing meets this criteria, please email our support team.
Q. I never listed my organization on this web site. Why did I receive an email thanking me for adding a volunteering opportunity?
A. Our DentalVolunteer System is an open database system which allows any caring volunteer to add a new opportunity to our web site. Volunteers add new opportunities every day to help fellow volunteers who may want to volunteer with your organization. If you would like your listing removed, please email the support team.
Q. How much does it cost to list an opportunity?
A. Listings are free, and we plan to keep it that way.
Q. Can I list jobs on this web site?
A. No, this web site is for legitimate volunteering opportunities only.
